Ingredients

3 asparagus, bottom third peeled, halved crosswise
1 pinch kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
2 teaspoons vegetable oil

Garnish
Shaved parmesan cheese
Olive oil

DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat the pan over medium-high heat for about 90 seconds. Add in oil and swirl to coat evenly. Allow smoke to rise from the entire surface of the pan, then turn off heat.

  2. Once smoke clears, add asparagus and sauté over low heat for about 3 minutes or until lightly browned. Flip each spear and sprinkle salt and pepper. Sauté for an additional 2 minutes, then serve with shaved parmesan cheese and a drizzle of olive oil.
