1 large egg
1 slice bacon
Freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
Preheat the pan over medium heat for about 90 seconds. Add oil and swirl to coat evenly. Once the oil begins to smoke across the entire surface of the pan, turn off the heat.
When the smoke clears, place the bacon in the pan. Turn the heat back on and cook over low heat for 1 minute. As the bacon begins to release its fat, flip it and add the egg to the pan.
Cook for 2–3 minutes, or until the egg is cooked to your preferred doneness. Sprinkle with black pepper and serve.
