Here are a few things to note before you start cooking with your Vermicular Frying Pan. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Before you start cooking:
1. Handling the pan
Here are some important things to keep in mind when using the Frying Pan:
The pan cannot be used in the oven.
Use silicone or wooden utensils for cooking.
Be careful not to drop the pan or hit it against any hard surfaces.
2. Cooking guide
Cast iron retains heat so efficiently that overheating will cause food to burn or stick. Medium-low or low heat will provide the best results for cooking.
Understanding the appropriate heat levels is key to achieving cooking perfection. Please reference the heating guide on page 14 of the enclosed recipe booklet.
THOROUGHLY PREHEAT the pan before adding ingredients. Please watch the below video that shows our recommended preheating steps. You can also reference page 15 of the recipe booklet to better understand the preheating steps.
TURN OFF HEAT and let the smoke clear before adding ingredients that tend to stick. By turning off the flame, heat will be evenly distributed across the pan surface.
3. Cleaning guide
To avoid damaging the enamel coating, never scrub with force or with abrasive cleaners. Clean with mild dish soap and a soft sponge.
Avoid soaking the wood handle in water and dry immediately after washing.
Below is a quick video that highlights effective cleaning tips for your pan. You can also reference the cleaning guide on page 11 of the recipe booklet or our blog article here.
