Iron Casting

Iron Casting

Our frying pan's unprecedented thinness begins with casting. Molten iron heated to 2700ºF is carefully poured into sand molds. As the molten iron fills the cast, pouring speed is timed in tenths of a second to maintain rigorous control.

Enamel Coating

Enamel Coating

Applying the enamel coating requires baking the cast iron frying pan at 1500ºF. To keep a frying pan as thin as 1.5 mm from warping at such temperatures is exceptionally challenging, requiring total focus and technical skill.

Wood Carving

Wood Carving

Our craftspeople carve each handle of the frying pan from high-quality wood. It is then meticulously hand-polished for a sleek feel and comfortable fit in your hand.

Hand Assembling

The seamless finish smoothly connecting the wood handle to the cast iron body is one of the fullest visual and tactile expressions of our talented craftspeople's pride and commitment.
