The Musui–Kamado is our innovative cast iron induction cooker. It is made up of the Musui, a hand-machined enameled cast iron pot with our signature precision seal, and the Kamado, an induction stove that delivers three-dimensional heating through precision heat control. Our signature precision seal is designed to intensify the natural flavors of ingredients. Our craftspeople meticulously hand-machine the contact area of the pot and lid of the Musui to less than 0.01 mm of variance, creating an unprecedented seal that locks in moisture and nutrients while enhancing the natural deliciousness of each individual ingredient. Inspired by traditional Japanese kamado stoves, the Musui–Kamado creates three-dimensional heating by combining: high-performance induction coils at the base of the Kamado and an aluminum surround heater that hugs the sides of the Musui. The result is even heat distribution, far exceeding the performance of induction cooktops or gas stoves. No more "hot/cold" spots while cooking.
The Musui–Kamado's precision temperature control allows you to adjust cooking temp in 1ºF from 90-200ºF, making precision cooking simple and easy. It allows you to sous-vide with and make temperature-sensitive recipes like poached eggs and custards. You can also proof dough, make yogurt or even craft your own miso.
Additionally, the Kamado's built-in heat sensor monitors and optimizes heat levels for streamlined heat control:

Yes, we have conducted third-party product leachate testing for all of our pots both in Japan and the US on separate occasions. We are fully compliant with the US FDA and CA Prop 65 requirements specifically for lead and cadmium leaching.
We’ve also conducted product wipe testing to evaluate potential dislodgeable lead and cadmium levels on the exterior of the pot and both lead and cadmium were not detected.
We forgo bright colors such as red and orange as those color pigments require the use of cadmium which can be harmful to not only the users but also craftsmen as well as the environment.
The Vermicular Frying Pan is the world's lightest enameled cast iron pan that achieves exceptional cooking performance and ease of use. In our pursuit of instant evaporation, we developed a hydrophilic enamel coating that helps maximize the area of contact between water and the pan surface. Combined with the high heat retention properties of cast iron, excess moisture from ingredients evaporates in an instant. This “instant evaporation” helps intensify the natural flavors and umami of the ingredients while creating a golden-brown crust and crisp textures without ever making food soggy. Yes, the enamel coating on our cast iron pan is made up of glass compounds that are baked at 1500ºF. Exclusively crafted from safe and clean materials, our enameled cast iron pan is free from toxic materials like PFOAs, PTFEs, other PFAs, lead, or cadmium.
The enamel coating makes the cast iron pan rust-free and doesn’t require seasoning like the conventional cast iron skillets. Here is a quick video on how to best clean the pan.
Our enamel coating is durable against rapid temperature change. However, please avoid using metal cooking tools as they could damage the coating. The best utensils to use are wood, plastic, or silicone. This pan will last a long time when properly cared for.

For the Musui: Do not use any abrasive cleaners to clean. Dry the pot immediately after washing. The contact area of the pot and lid is not enamel-coated and can potentially rust, so make sure the rims are dried thoroughly with a dry cloth. Season the rims by rubbing on a thin coat of cooking oil before the first several uses to minimize rusting.
For the Kamado: Wipe clean with a damp cloth once powered off and cooled down. For tough stains, use a soft cloth with mild dish soap to clean and dry thoroughly with a separate dry cloth. Do not wash the Kamado directly with water, as it is an induction cooker with electrical parts. Immersing in water may result in fire or electric shock.
To achieve our signature precision seal, the contact area of the pot and lid is not enamel-coated and can potentially rust. To minimize rust, make sure the rims are dried thoroughly immediately after washing. If you see rust, clean off with mild dish soap. If you still cannot get rid of the rust, use a rust remover.
To remove stubborn burnt food: Fill the pot with enough water to cover the burnt food, add 2–3 tablespoons of baking soda and boil water over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Once cooled, gently scrub with a soft sponge. Repeat this step several times until clean. Never scrub with force or with abrasive cleaners.
To remove stains: If the enamel gets stained, use only non-abrasive cleaners or cookware-safe bleach with a soft brush or sponge.
